Travel Advisory for Sabah Visit

This is to inform that to visit Sabah, Malaysia, Bangladeshi nationals, among others, need to obtain prior special permission from Hon'ble Chief Minister's Office at Sabah. Travellers need to seek the said permission one week before the trip via email, Addressed to MohdRafi.Jubahar@sabah.gov.my with the following documents: 

1. Copy of passport and visa

2. Air tickets with return tickets

3. Hotel booking

4. Purpose of the travel

If approved, travellers will receive a letter via email hopefully within one week. 

Concerned travelers are requested to carry two copies of the said approval email which will be required during the immigration process to enter and exit Sabah. The travelers, irrespective of their current residence in Malaysia or Bangladesh or any third country, have to carry original passports with them.

It may be further noted that the High Commission is not in a position to waive the mandatory requirement or expedite the approval process.
